1981年起，在中國科學院心理研究所工作
研究領域
圍繞“人的能力結構及度量”這一心理學核心科學問題，長期致力于研究工程心理學領域中關鍵問題——高負荷工作崗位上人的信息加工能力，在相容性、腦力負荷、情境意識、能力維度等幾個方面獲得了新的結果，并在飛行員、航天員、空中交通管制員、潛艇乘員、駕駛員的作業能力選拔系統研制和實際應用中驗證了這些重要發現。此外將能力結構與度量的研究推廣到國民重要心理特征數據庫的建設，推動了能力研究在全國的發展；將能力研究拓展到極端應激條件，服務于災后心理援助和中國災害心理學研究。
